Mandela: “It always seems impossible until it’s done”

Today is a special day as New Lightwave initiates 54 Inner Circles in Africa through the transmission of inner Light and Sound. The Light we spread is a form of spirituality that breaks down walls, overcomes ego, and extends beyond the mind. The power of Sound lies within the silence deep within. It brings you back to your true nature and grants freedom. One of the icons of Africa was Nelson Mandela. His message of peace, justice, and freedom remains a source of inspiration for people around the world.

For Mandela, freedom as a young boy meant running freely in fields and swimming in streams. As a young man, he longed for basic freedoms such as earning his own bread, marrying, and starting a family. According to Mandela, true freedom is the freedom to live an honorable life without hindrances.

Nelson Rolihlahla Mandela, globally renowned and beloved for his commitment to peace, negotiation, and reconciliation, was the first democratically elected President of South Africa (1994-1999). Mandela was an anti-apartheid activist, political leader, and philanthropist with a deep love for children.

Mandela said, “Everyone can rise above their circumstances and achieve success if they are dedicated and passionate about what they do.” He asked people not to look at his successes but at how many times he had fallen and risen again. Mandela believed that anyone can transcend their circumstances and achieve success if they are committed and passionate about their pursuit.

Mandela was essentially an optimist: “Optimism is when you direct your head towards the sun and keep moving forward. There were many dark moments when my faith in humanity was severely tested, but I did not want to surrender to despair. In that lies only defeat and death.”

Throughout his life, Mandela spoke about love and hate: “No one is born hating another person because of the color of their skin, background, or religion. People must learn to hate, and if they can learn to hate, they can also learn to love, for love comes more naturally to the human heart than its opposite.”

Mandela made a difference: “What counts in life is not merely the fact that we have lived. It is the difference we have made in the lives of others that will determine the significance of our own.”

By transmitting Light and Sound through Inner Circles to Africa, New Lightwave hopes that children and parents gain a fresh perspective on life. Just as Mandela said, “It always seems impossible until it’s done.”
